Aramid thread is twisted by aramid fibre, which has very good heat
resistant properties and exceptionally high tensile strength.
Aramide is 5x stronger then steel (weight for weight), combusts at
400°C and because of its strength provides incredible abrasion
resistance. It's used in protective clothing used by fire fighter
and police. Aramid thread is not recommended for applications that
requires prolonged exposure to very high temperature, thus, it's
used for manufacturing military and civilian protective clothing
where short flame or heat resistance is required. We have
para-aramid thread (1414) and meta-aramid (1313) thread, both have
very good strength, especially para-aramid thread which is
anti-cutting, ideal for anti-cutting gloves.
